A night to celebrate God's dream, realized by many hands, and the certainty that it's good to do good! That was how it was on November 10th, when the Aliança de Misericórdia gathered at the Teatro Paulinas, in São Paulo, missionaries, volunteers, children, friends, employees and benefactors of the Movement, for the delivery of the “Cor Unum Award” (One heart).
On the occasion, the presidency of the Alliance, together with its founding fathers, honored some of the people who, over these 22 years of existence of the Movement, have made a valuable contribution to the mission developed, making evangelizing action and social work even more relevant promoted among the most needy.
“We dreamed of this moment not so that it would be a trophy, but a gesture of thanks to those who collaborate concretely in the mission of the Alliance”, explains Father Custódio Ramos, current president of the Alliance.
Missionary Vitalina dos Santos was the first to receive the symbolic prize. She lived the charisma of the Alliance in Manaus, in Amazonas, and constituted a fraternity in Alto Solimões. In addition to her, the following were also honored: Marta and Luiz Roberto Barcelos, from Ceará, Maria Cristina and Antônio Claret de Oliveira and Divina Eliana and Gilmar Dias dos Santos, from Minas Gerais, Cláudia Vieira Ramos, from Rio de Janeiro, Regina Sueli Grego Vagner, from Paraná, Welligton José Procópio da Silva, Sandra and Clóvis Finger, from São José dos Campos (SP), and Mônica and Weber Della Vecchia, from Salto (SP).
From the capital of São Paulo, headquarters of the Movement, the services of Ana Lúcia and Sérgio Comolatti, Luciano Augusto de Bona, Pedro Leite Cardoso, Ana Cecília and Luiz Virgílio Manente, Silvia and Reinaldo Antonácio, Sandra and Dúlio Freitas, Maria Amália Candalaft and de Miss Luzia da Silva. The next edition of the Cor Unum Awards is scheduled for 2024!
