CCAs

The Center for Children and Adolescents (CCA) is a reference space for the development of socio-educational actions with children and adolescents, which seek to ensure the strengthening of family ties and group, community and social interaction.

This service is aimed mainly at children aged 06 to 11 years and 11 months and adolescents aged 12 to 14 years and 11 months, in situations of extreme social vulnerability, living in communities.

They offer after-school activities and provide participants with the opportunity to experience different cultures and learning, expanding their capabilities as citizens. Educators work to create positive affective bonds and cultural expansion, contributing to diversify the knowledge and repertoire of children and adolescents, through the following proposals:

  • Reading and writing workshops;
  • Prevention projects – so that they take care of the spaces and territory where they live with the necessary attention and care;
  • Self-care projects and valuing others – aimed at increasing self-esteem;
  • Research and discoveries carried out in rooms, for use in art workshops;
  • Outdoor sports activities – to encourage body and team work and individual and collective respect;
  • Outings and retreats, seeking to encourage children and adolescents to expand their worldview and new perspectives on life.

CCA Santo Domingo Savio

“We consider the child/adolescent as a unique person, capable, socially competent, with the right to a voice and participation in choices; as a person who manages to create and recreate, signify and reframe individual and social history; as a person who sees the world with his own eyes, raising hypotheses, building relationships, theories and manifestation in different languages and in different ways of acting. We believe that when children and adolescents are assisted with a unique and individual look, this favors their development even more, making them more confident, powerful, creative and, consequently, happy” (Élida Freitas – Manager )
The CCA São Domingos Sávio serves 120 children and adolescents, is located in the Moinho Community, located in the center of São Paulo, which is home to approximately 1200 families, more precisely under the Orlando Murgel viaduct, between two railway lines of the Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos ( CPTM).
The Project is today a reference for the entire Community, a space where they feel welcomed and safe in sharing their needs and thus being effectively attended to. The development and discovery of new opportunities for each child and adolescent, provides a better future, in view of the large local school gap.
The presence of the Project in the Community and the dedication of each professional in rescuing family and community ties, provide better local well-being. Strengthening countless families that, with due support, leave the situation of extreme vulnerability. Enabling the transformation of lives, rescuing dignity and promoting opportunities, enhancing the belief in oneself and in the potential of each one.

CCA Padre Pio

The CCA Padre Pio project assists 180 children and adolescents aged 6 to 14 years and 11 months, providing different learning, developing protagonism, autonomy, skills and expanding their worldview from different experiences and experiences, considering their prior knowledge for the development and potential of each of these age groups.
Through different activities in the after school shift, such as: sports, artistic workshops, thematic projects, handicrafts, musicality, reading, thematic circles, vegetable garden, digital inclusion activities and games.
It is inserted in the neighborhood of Parque de Taipas, an area of great social vulnerability, which suffers from the lack of safe spaces for culture and leisure for children and adolescents, who, for the most part, spend a large part of the day without the supervision of a responsible adult. , about self-management, being at the mercy of the risks that are often at the door of their homes.
Today, the project, which is seen as a place to go to seek help, either by listening or seeking guidance on the most varied issues, has a waiting list with more than 240 names awaiting a vacancy.
Well, its differential, especially in the community where it is inserted, is the commitment to identify what are the aspirations of those assisted, awaken dreams, make them believe in their potential and know that they need to walk a path to fulfill them.

CCA Vila Cuore

CCA Vila Cuore was inaugurated in June 2020, and currently serves 120 children and adolescents after school hours, in the Parque de Taipas neighborhood, on the outskirts of the northern part of São Paulo, as well as, indirectly, their families.
The service region is highly vulnerable and has low resources for sports, culture, leisure and educational activities. For this reason, the activities offered by the CCA were based on the needs of the local population, according to a survey carried out with the families, and are aimed at living together and creating bonds and strengthening bonds. The space operates from Monday to Friday in two shifts, and offers socio-educational actions and recreational, cultural and sports activities.
Since its opening, the team participates in constant training and qualification, in order to provide better integration among employees, improvement of technical knowledge, thus improving the quality of the work provided.
