On Monday morning, August 18th, another class of Gastronomic Techniques Course from the village cuore, education and training center of Covenant of Mercy, located in the northern zone of São Paulo. The free training has a workload of 210 hours in person and will be held until November 2025, with classes from Monday to Thursday.
More than a technical course, the goal is to train people for life: many students arrive seeking a fresh start, facing unemployment, low self-esteem, or seeking an opportunity to undertake a dignified business. The experience of previous classes confirms the positive and lasting impact of the initiative.
Course offers complete training with practical classes and human support
The course content is divided into modules of:
- Gastronomic techniques (soups, sauces, cuts, meats, Brazilian cuisine)
- Bakery and confectionery
- Human formation and values
- Entrepreneurship and project development
- Final Project and Entrepreneurship Fair
Classes are led by a team of guest chefs and experienced educators, which offer not only technical knowledge, but also a warm welcome and listening ear. Among the names confirmed for this edition are Maze Félix, Alê Saddi, Adriano Gambale and Andrea Aidar.
The course is held in a industrial kitchen model, with a professional structure and educational environment that promotes learning and personal development. Furthermore, students can choose 10 hours of volunteering in the project's own kitchen, functioning as an introduction to the real internship.
Transformation that goes beyond the kitchen
Reports from former students confirm that the transformation goes far beyond the plate. In previous editions, many participants left the course with guaranteed employment, others started own business and some even decided pursue a career in gastronomy, entering technical courses and colleges.
In addition to technical training, the project works to rebuild lives, promoting self-esteem, coexistence, faith, and hope. "Here, people discover talents they didn't even know they had," he says. Maze Felix, chef and educator of the project.
A successful partnership
We want to thank the Bia Rabinovich Institute for this successful partnership that made possible not only the course, but a new stage in the lives of these students who were awakened to a new profession and, consequently, to a new step in their stories.
Partnerships like this help the Alliance to go much further in its mission of restoring full dignity to so many brothers and sisters in vulnerable situations. Thank you very much!
