On August 14th, the Alliance of Mercy celebrated with great joy its 25 years of mission and evangelization common charity dinner at Terraço Itália, in São Paulo. The event, marked by moments of sharing, tributes and testimonies, brought together around 120 guests and was hosted by the couple Ana Lucia and Sergio Comolatti, great benefactors of the Alliance since its founding.
The Comolatti couple were remembered with affection and gratitude for their generous “yes” given back in December 1999, when Father Antonello He sought them out even before the official founding of the Alliance of Mercy. Since then, his faithfulness and constant support have been fundamental to the growth of the mission, especially in the evangelization of the poor and the restoration of human dignity.
During dinner, a special tribute to both, recognizing the fruits generated from that yes: the transformed lives and concrete charitable actions that continue to impact Brazil.
Testimony of transformation: Cicero
One of the most moving moments of the night was the testimony of Cicero, one of the living fruits of the Alliance's work. Formerly homeless, Cicero was welcomed by the Alliance of Mercy and had his life transformed. After a process of personal restoration, he became a chef and completed a gastronomic specialization with the support of the space. village cuore.
Today, Cicero acts as cook at Casa Restaura-me, preparing 450 meals daily for those assisted.
