Action and impact of the Alliance of Mercy: Check out our numbers and results in the Pocket Report 2023-2024

The reality of many Brazilians is marked by social exclusion and the daily struggle against poverty and lack of access to basic resources. Thousands of homeless people, children at risk and young people facing the challenges of social vulnerability are examples of groups that, every day, face barriers to living with dignity and building a path of hope. Amidst this challenging context, the Alliance of Mercy, since its founding in 2000, has sought to act as a true link for social transformation, offering shelter and rescue to those who need it most.

With presence in 42 cities in Brazil and more eight countries, the Alliance of Mercy has established itself as an institution that goes beyond immediate assistance, promoting social reintegration and human development. Through a network of community centers, shelters, educational centers and family support projects, the institution offers not only physical support, but also a path of recovery so that each person assisted can rebuild their life.

In 2023, only in the Coexistence Centers for Adults Living on the Street, more than 19 thousand people were served monthly, providing these individuals with a space for support and a new beginning. In the Screening, Reception and Reinsertion Centers, among other support locations provided by the institution, the Alliance offered essential help to 964 men and women in situations of chemical dependency and helplessness.

Another major focus of the Alliance is assisting children and adolescents. In 2023, three Early Childhood Education Centers in São Paulo served 380 children, ensuring not only access to quality education, but a welcoming and safe environment. In the Centers for Children and Adolescents, 514 young people were able to benefit from educational, cultural and social support, strengthening healthy development and preventing risk situations.

However, the Alliance's activities are not limited to Brazilian territory. In Mozambique, the organization offered support to 192 children and their mothers, supporting families in vulnerable situations and helping to strengthen ties and promote local development. In Belgium, more than five thousand refugees had access to shelter and an opportunity for a dignified life, far from conflict situations. In Venezuela, an educational and food project benefited 158 children, allowing them to find a safe place to grow and learn even in the midst of a humanitarian crisis.

The Alliance of Mercy also stands out for its commitment to ethical and transparent governance. In 2023, it implemented robust systems of compliance and consolidated its code of Conduct, which guides attitudes and promotes integrity and mutual respect in all its operations. With an accessible and secure Whistleblower Channel, the institution reinforces its policy of transparency and responsibility, ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with legislation and industry best practices.

These initiatives are now presented in the Pocket Activity Report 2023-2024, which provides a detailed overview of the efforts and results achieved by the Alliance. With it, the institution invites everyone to learn more about the transformative impact of its actions and the scope of its projects, aimed at building a more just and welcoming society.
