Alliance of Mercy is Top 20 Brazil in the iBest 2025 Awards

On Monday, June 2, the Alliance of Mercy was officially announced as one of the initiatives Top 20 Brazil in the category Social Actions of iBest Award 2025, the biggest award on the Brazilian internet. The institution achieved direct classification for the next phase after leading the voting ranking during the period between May 26 and May 30, guaranteeing one of the so-called “direct passes” offered to the most voted projects of the week.

This recognition highlights not only the strength of the Alliance's digital presence, but, most importantly, the social relevance of the work carried out 25 years ago by the institution, which today operates in 43 Brazilian cities and in 10 countries. With a charisma focused on restoring human dignity through evangelization and social work, the Alliance has impacted the lives of millions of people in situations of extreme vulnerability.

Transforming lives with concrete actions

In 2024 alone, the Alliance of Mercy achieved impressive numbers that help explain why it stands out in iBest:

  • More than 1 million meals served in social projects and programs;
  • More than 600 thousand people achieved through missionary and pastoral activities;
  • 1,157 children and adolescents served in education and social assistance projects;
  • 6,411 people welcomed in the Screening and Reception Centers;
  • 39,745 visits in the Community Centers for Adults Living on the Street;
  • More than 1,500 families accompanied and supported with material and spiritual support.

These results are the result of ongoing and committed work with the poorest of the poor. The Alliance works in favelas, slums, poor communities and regions at social risk, bringing not only food and shelter, but also education, professional training, spiritual support and, above all, hope.

International presence and missionary commitment

In addition to Brazil, the Alliance maintains permanent actions in countries such as Venezuela, Belgium and Mozambique. In these regions, the charism of mercy is embodied in oratories for children, shelters for refugees and support programs for families in vulnerable situations.

In recent years, the mission has also reached other corners of the world through missionary actions and digital media. Countries such as Belarus, Taiwan and Australia have already been reached by the evangelization promoted by the Alliance.

A 25-year history of impact

The year 2025 is even more significant for the Alliance of Mercy, which completes 25 years of foundation. During this time, the institution consolidated itself as one of the largest Catholic expressions of social and missionary action in Brazil, with hundreds of linked members, collaborators, volunteers and benefactors engaged in transforming the world with concrete gestures of love for others.

Recognition as Top 20 Brazil in the iBest Awards is, therefore, more than a digital achievement. It is the reflection of daily, silent and tireless work alongside those who suffer the most. The visibility provided by the award broadens the scope of the mission and strengthens the commitment to a more fraternal, just and merciful society.

Next steps for the iBest Awards

Now, the Alliance of Mercy awaits the next phase of the award, which will announce the Top 10 in each category on the day August 29th. The selection will be made based on metrics such as reach, engagement and relevance on the finalists' social networks, websites and apps. If they advance, the Alliance will participate in the popular vote for Top 3 and, subsequently, to define the big winner of the category.

Regardless of the final result, being in the Top 20 iBest is already a collective victory, built with the help of each person served, each volunteer, missionary, donor and supporter. Mercy has won once again — and continues to transform the world through the little ones.
