The Alliance of Mercy received on the last day November 27th, Thursday, the Human Rights and Diversity Seal – 8th edition (2025-2026), granted by the City of São Paulo. The institution was recognized for the actions carried out in Home Restore Me, especially because Eagle Social Currency and by Betânia Cafeteria, initiatives aimed at promoting the dignity of homeless people.

A Eagle Social Currency It is a financial education tool used by those served to purchase items at the center's bazaar, laundry, grocery store, and cafeteria. Each person receives "eagles" as they participate in activities and follow-up processes. This fosters autonomy, responsibility, and conscious choices, strengthening a path of personal reconstruction.

“Social currency restores autonomy. The person ceases to be merely someone who receives and becomes someone who decides. This changes how they perceive themselves and how they relate to others.”, "This is what Vanessa Tinelli, social director of the Alliance of Mercy, affirms.".

Already Betânia Cafeteria It offers a simple and fraternal environment where those being served can use their "eagles" (mobile phone carriers) to have coffee or a snack and, above all, experience relationships of respect and listening. The space helps restore bonds and allows each person to be accompanied more closely in the process of leaving the streets. Regarding the work, Vanessa highlights: “Betânia is a simple space, but it transforms lives. Here, coffee isn't just coffee; it's a chance to look someone in the eye, talk, and start over.”

With this recognition, the Alliance joins the Seal Network, expanding the exchange of experiences with other initiatives in the city. The institution has already been awarded in previous editions, always with actions that reinforce its commitment to the poorest and to the promotion of life in all its dimensions.
