On June 28th, the SASF Centro Maria Paola held its traditional June celebration, bringing together families assisted by social services for a day full of fellowship and solidarity. The event provided moments of leisure, inclusion and joy for children, young people, adults and the elderly, reinforcing the mission of care and support for vulnerable communities.
A festival full of games and popular culture
The June festival atmosphere took over the SASF, with stalls offering games such as “Chicken in a Pan”, “Boca do Palhaço” and the traditional fishing, which guaranteed fun for children and adults. In addition, a special area for face painting delighted the little ones, while the Happy Child Program corner brought activities adapted for children aged 0 to 3 and children with disabilities aged 0 to 6, reinforcing inclusion and a close look at different realities.
Typical delicacies and lots of fellowship
The June cuisine was also a highlight: hot dogs, canjica, broth, sweet and salty popcorn, gelatin and soft drinks were served to everyone with great care and attention. Participants especially praised the broth, praising the dedication of the kitchen staff and the quality of the food.
Bingo and solidarity
Another highlight of the party was the traditional bingo, with a raffle for several prizes, including stuffed animals and even a basic food basket, bringing moments of anticipation and joy to all families.
Volunteer support makes a difference
The party was only possible thanks to the support of volunteers, who helped with the stalls, cooking, photography and decoration, making the event even more special. Among them, we would like to thank:
- Mario Augusto Alves da Cruz
- Alaide Gomes da Silva
- Nielson de Quadros Paulino
- Juliana da Silva Costa
- Maximino
- Maria Geni da Silva
- Erivaldo
The union of these volunteers was essential to guarantee the success and beauty of the party.
