The Alliance understands this mission well and has been a bridge of mercy for countless people, as is the case with the testimonies of Ana Paula and Renan.

Ana Paula, from an early age, faced the harsh reality of the streets and family difficulties. Abandoned by her mother at the age of two, she grew up amid favela vulnerability from Paraisópolis. At the age of 18, after losing her father and mother, she found herself involved in drug trafficking, in a spiral of despair and lack of perspective. It was then that he crossed the path of the Alliance of Mercy, through São Miguel Early Childhood Education School.

The support and care offered by Aliança and the São Miguel daycare team were like a balm for Ana Paula. With guidance and encouragement, she found the strength to abandon trafficking, seek education and work. Today, Ana Paula is an example of overcoming, dedicating herself to study and work, while raising her two daughters with love and determination. The alliance, through the generosity of people like you, was fundamental to this transformation!

Renan, since he was five years old, faced a journey marked by abandonment and neglect. After the loss of his mother, he found refuge at Aliança de Misericórdia, where he was welcomed and cared for as part of a family. Despite the difficulties and traumas of the past, Renan found in Aliança not only shelter, but also opportunities for personal growth and development.

The Aliança Karate project became a source of inspiration and motivation for young people, who saw in the sport not just a physical activity, but a way of cultivating discipline and self-confidence. Even in the face of adversity, such as the loss of his father to COVID-19, Renan remains firm in his goals, and has already realized his dream of being karate world champion.
