Income Tax Campaign 2022

In the INCOME TAX donation campaign carried out in 2022, Aliança de Misericórdia focuses on EDUCATION in early childhood, benefiting 100 children aged 0 to 5 at risk and socially vulnerable through the CEI SÃO project MIGUEL, located in the Campos Elíseos neighborhood, in the city of São Paulo.

By believing that education is the only means by which these and other children will be protected, ensured, and be able to have a full development as human beings, is that the CEI São Miguel project, started its work 9 years ago in the community of Moinho, center of São Paulo-SP.

Meet Adriana, a student at CEI São Miguel

Adriana, a cheerful, intelligent and very vain little girl, has been participating in the CEI São Miguel project since she was 4 months old. Her mother Renata accompanied the project during her pregnancy, and later too, since Adriana was not even two years old, when her mother started using drugs again, getting involved with drug dealers, prostituting herself, and clashing with the police. It was four long years of recovery before her mother returned. Today, this family is united, the mother works as a street vendor on 25 de Março and takes care of her daughter with great love.

“Adriana is 6 years old, a young girl, she arrives happy and humming every day, participates in the proposals very carefully, is committed to her literacy process and demonstrates quick logical thinking. As we have been following her since she was 4 months old, we have been able to observe her pedagogical development.” Says Ana Paula, director of CEI São Miguel.

 Adriana has a preference for pretend play and likes to become a princess or a mother with the dolls. In his speech he has a wide vocabulary, uses the correct use of words and is aware of time (yesterday, today, tomorrow), his literacy process corresponds to his age group, he is at the pre-syllabic level where he already knows that to writing is required to use letters, not other symbols.

Just like Adriana's story, over the 9 years of the project, CEI São Miguel has been able to change the future of many children and their families, through attention, professionalism, welcoming, but mainly through EDUCATION.
