SASF celebrates Mother's Day and promotes action on child protection

Last Sunday, May 12th, the Family Social Assistance Service – SASF Maria Paola – provided a special moment for mothers and their children, in celebration of Mother’s Day. In a welcoming and affectionate environment, a photo session was held, aiming to strengthen family ties and celebrate motherhood in all its beauty and challenges.

The activity was not limited to just photographic records: a conversation circle was promoted with the theme “Maternity: Its Charms and Challenges”, providing a space for mothers to share their experiences and exchange mutual support. Furthermore, to immortalize the moment, each family received a photo frame lovingly made by the SASF team, accompanied by a souvenir made by the children during a fun workshop.

The following day, Monday, May 13th, SASF started the 18th of May Campaign, a date dedicated to the combating abuse and sexual exploitation of children and adolescents. The event took place at the Vila Cuore Community and Service Center (CCA).

To sensitize and raise awareness among the community about the importance of child protection, the theater play was presented “Nobody Will Take My Dreams”. Through a sensitive approach, the play brought to light the reality of children and adolescents who are victims of abuse, highlighting the need for prevention and reporting.

Furthermore, as part of the campaign activities, the touch traffic light competition was held, a fun and educational action that aims to teach children and adolescents about the limits of touch and how to identify situations of abuse.
