A new living space at Casa Lar Maria Paola

In the Casa Lar Maria Paola, every detail is designed to welcome and transform the lives of vulnerable children. Recently, a new step was taken in this mission: in partnership with One Cause Group (@umacausaoficial), one of the rooms was renovated and gained new meaning.

The meeting between the Alliance of Mercy and the Uma Causa Group was a natural one. Already familiar with the group's mission of welcoming and offering dignity to children, they were willing to collaborate in creating a space for living, studying, and affection.

More than a dormitory

The new room was designed to be more than a place to rest. It's a place to play, learn, dream, and simply be a child. A space that contributes to the emotional, cognitive, and social development of those who, from an early age, have had to face so many challenges.

The sparkle in children's eyes

The inauguration was marked by the children's reaction. Upon entering the new space, smiles, hugs, and looks of wonder demonstrated how much that gesture of care made a difference. There, they saw not just renovated walls, but a place of belonging.

Gratitude and commitment

To the Uma Causa Group team, our gratitude for the "yes" that became a new life for so many children. This partnership reminds us that transforming realities begins when we make room for love.

Casa Lar Maria Paola is part of the social projects and initiatives of Aliança de Misericórdia, which has been working on various fronts to care for people in vulnerable situations since 2000. In partnership with the São Paulo City Hall, the institution maintains four Casas Lares in the capital, designed to shelter children and adolescents at personal or social risk, or facing abandonment.

Each home accommodates up to 10 children and has educators who live on-site, offering constant presence and close family bonds. Furthermore, there is support from social workers and psychologists, fostering the development of autonomy, values, and opportunities so that each child and adolescent can build their own path with dignity.
