In December, Aliança officially received the Human Rights and Diversity Seal, an initiative of the Municipal Secretary of Human Rights and Citizenship of São Paulo (SMDHC). The DOE ESPERANÇA initiative was awarded for the second year, this time awarded in the category transversalities.
Transversality concerns the possibility of establishing an analogy between learning theoretically systematized knowledge (learning about reality) and real-life issues (learning in reality and from reality) in educational practice.
The campaign's target audience is needy families and people in situations of social vulnerability, whom we serve in our projects and also in the various missions carried out.
An example of this happened during the parents' meeting at Creche da Misericórdia, where the mother of one of the children attended reported: “At the beginning of the year, when my son received this vacancy at the day care center, my husband said that it was better to wait a bit because he was too small, but I insisted and brought him. Today I told him, it was this daycare that during this whole year, in addition to taking care of our son, filled our bellies”. In fact, unemployment and poverty arrived for many, but mainly in the peripheries and poor communities.
In 2023 we will continue to help so many in need and we count on all those who wish to be bridges of mercy with us.
At the beginning of the year, we will help with school materials, food and personal hygiene and cleaning products.
Among the projects that will benefit are Casas Lares, an institutional reception service that aims to bring the family structure closer to children and adolescents from 0 to 17 years and 11 months old, who, due to situations of personal, social, abandonment and /or violation of their rights in the family environment, are referred to foster care as an exceptional and provisional protective measure.
Altogether there are 4 Casas Lares in the city of São Paulo that are inserted in the community and have a welcoming atmosphere, with 10 welcomed per unit. The service methodology seeks to favor the development of aptitudes, capabilities and opportunities, so that children and adolescents are worked on in their autonomy and construction of values, in addition to carrying out family monitoring and encouraging affective sponsorship.
We seek companies and sponsors for our actions, if you know or want to help in any way in this work, please contact us. Any help is welcome!
