The Family Social Assistance and Basic Social Protection Service at Home (SASF) Centro Maria Paola, located in the Jaraguá neighborhood, in São Paulo, joined the Famílias Fortes program, an initiative of Aliança de Misericórdia in partnership with the Federal Government. The objective of the program is to strengthen family bonds and promote the healthy development of children and adolescents.
With seven weekly meetings, the project is in its third meeting of the sixth cycle, serving ten families already assisted by SASF. These families participate in regular workshops and monitoring and joined the Strong Families program on a voluntary basis.
At meetings, parents receive guidance on disciplinary practices, emotional management and family communication, while children develop personal and social skills. Afterwards, families come together to practice the skills learned, promoting a safe environment to resolve conflicts and encourage family cohesion. The sessions are led by Denilson Zulianello, coordinator of the project, with the support of Dr. Everaldo Garcia.

The SASF Centro Maria Paola aims to strengthen the protective function of the family and prevent the disruption of family and social ties. The project plays a crucial role in the community, offering social assistance, psychological support, income generation workshops and socio-educational meetings, essential to prevent social isolation and strengthen family ties.
In turn, the Strong Families program, carried out in partnership with the Federal Government, is aimed at families with children between 10 and 14 years old and seeks to promote the strengthening of family protection and construction processes. The initiative has already shown positive results in other Aliança de Misericórdia projects, such as the CCA Vila Cuore and on Saint Mark's Chapel, in the Taipas region, in São Paulo.
At SASF, the Program is scheduled to conclude next month, with expectations of continuing and expanding the initiative, benefiting more families in the community. For more information and other SASF Jaraguá initiatives, visit our social media (@aliancademisericordia It is @sasfjaragua).
